Gymnastics Leotard Purple
Shoe/Hair/Make up suggestions for a fairy costume?

I'm goin as a fairy, wearing a tulle skirt with an old sparkly gymnastics leotard. The colors are purple and pink. I've got wings and a tiara. I'm looking for suggestions for hair/makeup/shoes. I'm in college. Thanks!

If I were going to do makeup for a fairy costume I would apply it as BRIGHTLY as I possibly could (particularly eyeshadow.) Use neon's, and lots of glitter. I would also get fake eyelashes or some REALLY good mascara.

(just switch her colors with the colors that match your outfit. make sure one is dark and one is light though... and make sure they're like, SUPER bright or your make up wont stand out.)

to freeze makeup on your face and make sure it all STAYS on and lasts I suggest spraying your makeup and face with hairspray... Just close your eyes to make sure it doesn't get in there. We did this when I was a member of the Color Guard back in High School (I'm a college freshman). It was a hastle but that makeup stayed on ALL day and needed very little reapplication.

ALSO... Make sure your hairspray is a really good kind... and extra hold. I use Tresemme (I have no clue if I spelled that right..)

Shoes: flats. the kind of flats that are barely even there

you could even wear actual ballet shoes if you get some that look decent or the decorational kind..

Hair: go Scene. With bright makeup and messed up hair like this it will make you look a little wild and cute.

The hair really just depends on what kind of look your attempting to give off with your costume and the way you have your hair cut..

GOOD luck, have fun with whatever you end up doing. Dont get in too much trouble. etc..

BTW: I did this same idea a year or two ago (I made my own costume. sewing hurts...) and I had a garter belt right under my skirt, on my thigh, that looked cute and had some matching leg warmers that pooled around my shoes and got tight around the top and layed loose at the bottom. It had a great effect. You might want to look into that, it might look good?
