Net Volleyball Court

What are some differencences between Special Olympics Volleyball and regular Volleyball?
can you please just list some differences
i know the court and net is the same but they can serve closer in special olympics
What are some other differences?
thank you
I've done both Special Olympics Volleyball and regular volleyball, and the game is almost exactly the same, but the amount of competition changes. In Special Olympics, the rules are more lenient and there is the rule that an athlete must touch the ball in the "three-hits" per side. At regular volleyball, referees will call more mistakes and errors such as lifts, carries, and double-hits. There is still the "three-hits" per side rule. In regular volleyball, the game can get even more intense and there is a lot of specialization of positions so switching spots on the court happens more often. So the basic changes from Special Olympics volleyball to regular volleyball are, there are only partners, competition increases, you have to serve from behind the end line, referees are stricter with the rules, there is more rotating/switching spots, and there are definitely more practices and games throughout the season. There are some other slight/minor changes but if you know the basic rules in Special Olympics volleyball, you should be fine for regular volleyball. Good Luck playing!
