Rhythmic Gymnastics Ice
Do you think wearing your hair down is bad or nort professional when...?

You have practice??? I was thinking about wearing my hair down to figure skating practice as well as rhythmic gymnastics practice. Buns and ponytails make my head hurt! I was going to have my bangs out of my face but would it still look weird on the ice or at RG? I'm pretty sure nobody cares at the rink, but at the gym, I'm no so sure about. Help, thanks.
My hair is not unruly, and it's around 5-6 inches past my shoulders.
I don't do artistic gymnastics, I do rhythmic. Rhythmic we work on flexibility for around the first hour of class and work with our apparatus's like a hoop, ball, rope, ribbon, or clubs. I don't do vault, bars, beam or floor.

I used to have the same problem. A ponytail hurt my head. My mum said it was because I had a sensitive scalp and the bun or ponytail was stretching it causing a tension headache. She said I should try it in two braids but I thought it would look babyish. I tried leaving it down but it was useless, it just got in the way. So I gave the braids a go and like you say nobody cares and it worked great!
Now I wear my hair in one braid down the back and its still ok.
Hope that helps
